PFW 2016. Summing up.

We worked and partied hard during Paris Fashion Week. The whole of Europe and even the US seemed to be there! The city buzzed like a beehive. The most fashionable beehive, of course! This year lit bright stars on catwalks! Models GiGiHadid and Kendall Jenner were real favorites with photographers, stylists, designers, and all glossy magazines! We saw all their shows where these beauties shone in all their glory! That was a piece of luck!

There was one more luck we, want to share with you! We were staying at Park Hyatt Vendome with 35% discount from the hotel rate, and that’s in the period of time when almost all hotels were sold out or people couldn’t find the room with the rate at three times expensive than usual! If you are interested how do we get these special deals for our trips, ream more here.

So today we are going to share with you our impressions of fashion shows and parties of Paris Fashion Week SS16.

Let’s start with the shows, naturally. We came to Paris to find out about the trends of the spring/summer 2016 season. We chose to see the most beautiful, the most exquisite shows of the world renowned designers.

The finest picks! And all for you! 😉

All the world’s best models – Cara Delevingne, Alexandra Elizabeth, Sasha Luss, Gisele Bündchen, Rosie Huntigton-Whiteley – walked Paris Fashion Week catwalks. The ideal girls shone illuminated by camera flashes. Their lovely figures attract visitors from all over the world. Designers know that and there is hardly any fashion show in Paris without a star model.

Paris Fashion Week is the last top fashion event at the end of the world fashion marathon. People flock to Paris to see the amazing designs to be admiredthe whole year round!

This season’s most outstanding shows were from Balmain, Valentino, ElieSaab, Mugler. The most talked-about one was Carl Lagerfeld’s show for Chanel – a provocative, revolutionary show. The visitors witnessed a real feminist protest complete with posters and slogans. The famous designer likes to shock audiences, now turning the catwalk into a supermarket, now a farm. Nevertheless, the designer also showed traditionally stylish, expensive attire, which will be made only in haute couture line from now on.

Designers declared the spring/summer season 2016 a “time of change”.  While Lagerfeld meant it literally, other designers offered softer versions of fashion revolution. We could admire dressesthat looked feminine and followed body lines. We can’t wait until we see the world celebs parading splendid outfits from Elie Saab and Valentino. After all, the red carpets of the Cannes Film Festival and the opening ceremony of the Mote Carlo Regatta will see them in dresses with inlaid stones and embroidery.

Paris is a city of unconventional ideas and unforgettable parties!

Within the fashion week, brands not only stage shows, they throw parties into the bargain. We particularly liked the bash from with a sea of champagne and white-and-gold interior design. Real chic! The online brand does know how to entertain offline.

However, the brightest celebration of the season was the birthday party of the glossy magazine VOGUE – #vogue95!  For over 95 years this publication with a global reach has been following the fashion trends and creating them!

The number of guests per square meter of the party venue was absolutely staggering! And everybody was dancing, too! Well, they just responded to the call – Let’s dance! The rock-till-you-drop dancing crowd had in it Jared Leto, Kanye West, Rihanna, the Jenner-Kardashians, Gigi Hadid with friends, Victoria’s Secret models, photographer Terry Richardson.

Some rooms of the venue were reserved for tasting exquisite French cuisine, yet the chefs seemed to be dancing as well!  Vogue  turned the party into unforgettable experience!

Most of the parties after the designer shows were held at VIP ROOM club. You know how fond we are of this chain, don’t you? And that is because this club is the site for the wildest bashes with dancing on tables and best guests!

There were two after party events to mark the end of the Fashion Week, Closing Party and After Party.

The first after party of Paris Fashion Week SS16 was organized by Mardi Mondain on 6 October in Hexagone club on Avenue Kleber – #PFW Closing Afterwork 6th Oct. for fashion staff & Models only #Paris. Jazz band Special and Gabrielle Jeanselme played for the VIPs. The motto of the party was Elegance, Style, and Smile.

That was a private event and there were lots of people who wanted to get there. It was announced though that the party was only for fashion staff and models. We love private parties! They are the best, the most exciting!

A nice surprise was the fact that a guest could bring two friends with him/her to make it more intriguing  –leaving everybody wondering who would accompany a famous model or top designer. Our team went there together – the whole lot! Our friends who had come with us to the Fashion Week were also happy. After all, what could beat excellent music and good-looking stylish guests, who enjoyed themselves and had fun?!  Definitely Paris Fashion Week set the tone for all fun-loving crowds!

The PFW15 closing party was held on 8 October in ourfriends place VIP ROOM club that we love so much. The headlinerswerefabulous LES TWINS.

The farewell party of the fashion season set the tone for the costumes of hostesses and guests, who wanted a bit of fooling about. Many had come dressed in style of good old Playboy, which was also the style of interior décor – a lot of fire, sparks and glitter. And everybody danced till early morning!
